ICE DIVING
Simon’s first ever scuba dive – under the ice of a frozen lake.
GLASS WALKING
Walking barefoot over a twenty-foot bed of razor-sharp broken glass.
The glass bed was made from over one thousand broken wine and beer bottles.
How is this possible? Now that is a secret!
Cage Diving with Great White Sharks
Off the coast of South Africa Simon got the opportunity to get up close and personal with several very large Great White sharks!
The Fan Dance: Special Forces Test March
The Fan Dance is a UK special forces test march that forms part of the infamous SAS (Special Air Service) selection process. It is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the full selection process. The ordeal involves completing a 15 mile/ 24km course that goes up and down the very steep sides of Pen Y Fan mountain (hence the name “Fan Dance”) in South Wales twice carrying a 35lb /16kg bergen. The final climb up the very steep return slope of Pen Y Fan known as Jacob’s Ladder is a real lung buster!
Paras’ 10
The Paras’10 is a gruelling 10-mile endurance event that is one of eight tests that must be completed if candidates want to pass the elite Parachute Regiment’s selection process. The 10-mile course travels over undulating military terrain and through several water obstacles and participants carrya 35lb /16kg bergen.
ROYAL MARINE COMMANDO CHALLENGE
The seven mile Royal Marine Commando assault course with mud, crawl pipes, mud, lakes, mud, water, mud, hills, mud, rough terrain, mud and the infamous water tunnel. And er…mud!
Venomous Snake Handling
Simon has always been fascinated by snakes and decided to get up close and personal with a range of highly venomous species and learn how to handle them. He had the privilege of handling a variety of venomous snakes including a puff adder, fer-de-lance, vipers, rattlesnakes and a variety of cobras including the infamous King Cobra!

GORILLA TREKKING
Simon spent two incredible days meeting two different gorilla families in Uganda’s Impenetrable Forest. On the second day a silverback gorilla initially charged at Simon but thankfully the big guy soon calmed down and Simon got some great photos!
